What is Great Commisson ?

the Great commission is to make disciples. It is given by Jesus Christ before ascending to heaven.  He gave this great commission to his disciple saying that go and make disciple and baptize them in the name of triune God and teach them to obey (Matt28:18-20). It is not work of the individual Christian but is the work of local church.   in order to fulfil the Great Commission, we are given by Lord Jesus the four principles going, make disciple and baptize and teaching.   We have to be sent by someone to make disciple. the local church will send us then we will be able to go and make disciple by teaching and baptizing. In a broad sense, the Great Commission is to plant the more churches. The goal of the Great commission is to glorify God.

How does the church fulfil the great commission? Church fulfils the Great Commission by teaching and baptizing and sharing the good news.  The word going does not only mean going but also sharing the good news after going.  When people response to the gospel then the local church will baptize them and teach them more about God and to obey his commandment. The great commission is given to the local church. it is not given to the bible college and or Christian organization because making disciple is only possible in the church. Bible college can teach us but can't give us the baptism in same way Christian organization can support us and give us job but can't make us disciple by baptizing and teaching. But only the church does that's why it is given to the local church.

No one can be the disciple of Jesus unless he or she became the members of any particular church. Jesus said love your God with all your heart and mind and strength and secondly love your neighbour as you love yourselves.  We can't love God who is unseen unless we love to the one who is seen like brother. Love one another and encourage another is only possible in local church where people of God are. If we are not church member of any church, we can't be the disciple of Jesus because the Jesus has given the shepherd for us to make disciple and keep safe in local church until he come.

 Many people is misunderstand the concept of the local church. They think that it is like driving licence once you get no need to gather together and have fellowship it is clear that when people share the gospel and baptize them and leave them alone. But the great commission is not called local church to act like that. The local church is called to make disciple not to give baptism licence to everyone. It is not like professional sport team as well where people hire good player to win another team the church does not do like that in order to fulfil the great commission, the church does not harm another church but be happy with them

The five practices of a Great Commission Church are

Cultivate a Culture of Discipling:  This is the first practice of the Great Commission church. the Great Commission church cultivate a culture of Discipling. It is loving, encouraging and supporting one another. It helps every member own the responsibility for helping others grow in the faith. In Great Commission church, the elder man in faith disciple your men and younger women seek out the older women.

Cultivate a Culture of Evangelism: Evangelism is a means of sharing the good news to the non-Christian.  The Great Commission church create a culture of Evangelism. It trains the its members to share the gospel to non-christian.it helps us to engage in the non-Christian friend and help them to know Christ.

Work to reach the unreached through Missions: The Great Commission church works to reach the unreached through the Mission. Mission is to do what God has told them to do in local church like evangelism and church planting and discipline and support the missionaries.

Work to strengthen other Churches:  it is the fourth practice of the Great Commission. It works to strengthen other churches through planting and revitalizing the church.

Encourage gospel growth locally:  the Great Commission encourage the gospel growth locally. There are many dying and oppressed church all around the world. We encourage gospel growth locally though restoring and helping the dying church and set up the new one's church.  we can do that through prayers. Ministerial fellowship and core seminar and more.

The Great commission is to make disciple. it is given to the local church. The local church fulfils it by going, making disciple and baptizing and teaching.

Church Elders

  The elders are the primary spiritual leaders of the congregation. In the New Testament, the words for elder, oversee and pastor are used interchangeably (Eph4:11, Acts20:17,1Peter5:1-2). The qualification of the elders mentioned in Timothy2,3 and Titus. God is not irresponsible janitor.

 God is holy and just judge. He is loving and compassionate God. He is not only life giver lord but also, he is judge who will judge according to our day-to-day work. He will not leave to punish who are doing sin against God. Traffic police can be irresponsible janitor because he takes bribes to hide the mistake of people . God never to do that, he will not hide anyone’s sin and evil work but judge it righteously. Habakkuk 1:13 says’ your eyes are too pure to look on evil and you can’t tolerate wrong. God can’t tolerate the wrong. If God tolerate the wrong, he can be unjust gods but he is not like that.
