Christian Ethic

The word "ethics" is derived from the Greek word "ethos," meaning "custom or behavior." Ethics is a system of moral values, virtues, and duties. Ethics is the study of what is wrong and what is right for human beings. The word "morality" comes from the Latin word "mos," which means the character or behaviour of life. Morality is concerned with personal moral behaviour, but ethics regards the foundational aspects as significant and deals with the structural elements as well. Ethics is the science of the systematic study of human conduct, individual as well as corporate. It is concerned with determining what conduct is right and good. It deals with concepts of right and wrong, good and bad, and what one ought to do or not do. For a Christian ethicist to come to a good moral judgement, he or she must be aware of the different disciplines and social sciences. Without having a clear knowledge of different disciplines, there can never be a sound conclusion to an issue. Thus, we see that Christian ethics is also very much linked to and related to other disciplines. The fact cannot be ignored that Christian ethicists utilise resources from a variety of disciplines. The Bible is regarded as the "charter document" of the Christian faith, which is required for ethical reflection and moral decision-making. Theology helps Christian ethics articulate faith systematically, coherently, and persuasively. The understanding of God in theology influences Christian ethics for reflection and moral judgements. Poverty is the state of being poor, where one cannot afford even the most basic needs like food, water, and clothes. It can also refer to the point where people are denied their basic rights. It is because of many reasons. For example, those who are already rich are getting richer and richer. They get all the benefits. On the other hand, the poor are deprived of their basic needs and thus become poorer and poorer. Other reasons can be bonded labour, debts, lack of opportunities for jobs, illiteracy, caste, etc. It will lead to some more problems in society like theft (robbery, stealing), killing or murder, suicide, depression, anxiety, etc. These are the laws, programs, and schemes of the government being carried out in order to stop the problem of poverty. Or are the government officials misusing the money for their own personal interests?

God is not irresponsible janitor.

God is holy and just judge. He is loving and compassionate God. He is not only life giver lord but also, he is judge who will judge according to our day-to-day work. He will not leave to punish who are doing sin against God. Traffic police can be irresponsible janitor because he takes bribes to hide the mistake of people . God never to do that, he will not hide anyone’s sin and evil work but judge it righteously. Habakkuk 1:13 says’ your eyes are too pure to look on evil and you can’t tolerate wrong. God can’t tolerate the wrong. If God tolerate the wrong, he can be unjust gods but he is not like that. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne (89:14).   How can God love and judge at the same time?  One can this happening on the cross. God judge Christ on the cross at the same time he loved and forgave to those who trust in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. God is not unscrupulous janitor so he judged Christ and destroy the sin saved the...
